Ozzy Osbourne has announced that after five decades, he will be undertaking his final world tour in 2018.

‘People keep asking me when I’m retiring,’ Osbourne said. ‘This will be my final world tour, but I can’t say I won’t do some shows here and there.’

Along with the announcement, came the news that Ozzy will be one of three headliners for Download Festival 2018. Having previously graced the main stage of the Download Festival in previous years fronting Black Sabbath, the Prince of Darkness will be undertaking his first ever Download headline solo appearance.

‘We’re unbelievably excited to have Ozzy as one of the headliners next year,’ says Download promoter, Andy Copping. ‘Already hailing from the midlands, Ozzy Osbourne is no stranger to Download, and after Black Sabbath closed the festival in 2016, how could I not ask The Prince of Darkness to come back all on his own? The Download family are without a shadow of a doubt, in for a treat.’
