With health as a number-one priority for bands and their fans, bands such as MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and MACHINE HEAD have cancelled upcoming shows due to recent health concerns from Coronavirus.
Just days ahead of their appearances in Japan, including Download, My Chemical Romance had released a statement online to confirm they will be postponing their shows, including their headline show in Osaka.

The band claimed that they wanted to “have alternative dates confirmed” before announcing the unfortunate news, but publications were confirming it before they could.
In a similar fashion, Machine Head has broken the news that their UK and European tour for the 25th anniversary of ‘Burn My Eyes’ has been postponed. They posted this announcement on social media and spoke more on their blog about the news.
MACHINE HEAD TO POSTPONE EUROPEAN TOUR
It is with heavy heart that we must announce the postponement of our upcoming EU/UK tour in support of the 25th anniversary of Burn My Eyes.

On their post about the postponement, the band wrote: “As of today, we now have 14 shows cancelled until the 2nd week of April, with 7 cancelled indefinitely. And it appears as of an hour ago, another 3 have been cancelled. 15 minutes ago the World Health Organization just declared the Coronavirus a pandemic.“
“So it is with deep frustration and regret that we are forced to make this announcements. The Burn My Eyes 25th anniversary tour is to be postponed and shows rescheduled for a later date, hopefully in the Fall, but possibly later.”
Fingers crossed that as time passes, and health concerns decrease within the public and among those in the music industry, all bands can reschedule and give their fans the shows they had been planning to and wanting to.
