Discovered are pleased to present the brand new video from lylyly – ‘I Thought That I Was Dying (Same As Yesterday)’

lylyly pronounced lē-lē-lē) exists under the mantra, “SONG IS QUEEN.” From scrappy garage-rock growlers and songs that begin indietronica then flip to post-grunge, to theatrical string quartet/piano ballads and plaintive ukulele/brass arrangements, whatever the song wants is what the song gets, and they give it with gusto, holding nothing back. The outfit is the music project of songwriter and visual artist, Emily Mineo. Mineo (vocals, guitar), joined by Josh Zenker (bass), Kelvin Cochrane (guitar), and Jared Williams (drums) form the core lineup.

Speaking about the track, the band said: “I Thought That I Was Dying (Same as Yesterday)” is about being caught up in the moments and the motions when wave after wave of anxiety and deep sadness seem to engulf us….It’s our hope that when people listen to this song, if they experience resonance with its expression of anxiety and depression, that they also catch that kindness and open heartedness for us all. Now it is always right there, heating up my chest when we play this song.”

The debut full length album is set to be released in November. It is a collection of eight songs which demonstrate the group’s confessional, singer-songwriter roots in the context of both raw garage-rock and sparse orchestral arrangements.
