Over the weekend CrazyEightyEight decided they wanted to blow us all away just out of the blue with two new tracks, “Nitroglycerin” and “Tears In Rain”, followed with intense music videos and all we have to say is… we’re really not okay.
The new anthems will follow up from where the collective left off earlier this year with their debut single “Shinebox” that amassed over 600k Spotify plays in 10 months, along with their cover of ‘To Plant A Seed’ by We Came As Romans in honour of the late Kyle Pavone. With these two new singles, hopes are high that their debut album will be making its way to the world sometime very soon.

CrazyEightyEight is comprised of some familiar faces you may already recognize; Lauren Babic (vocals) and Jarrod Alonge (guitar) both have Youtube channels for their music and Patty Walters (Bass) is an ex-youtuber and vocalist for As It Is.
The collective found themselves together when Alonge and Babic started a side project of covers on Alonge’s youtube channel. Walters came into the mix after a long history of friendship from his Youtube days with Alonge. The group then launched a crowdfunding campaign for their upcoming album that succeeded its target and may possibly mean that new music will be coming very, very soon.
The trio now find themselves preparing for chart domination with their deathly hits that the band have even said are only going to get heavier:
Nitroglycerin is NOT the heaviest song on the new record.Tears In Rain is NOT the catchiest song on the new…
CrazyEightyEight are a particularly refreshing talent to the music scene with Babic fronting her female lead vocal position, proving to those bigots that women can scream and not only do it amazingly- but most of the time, better than the dudes.
