When it comes to live shows, you’ve got to admit that a strong set of support acts can really push the bill to the next level. In the metal genre specifically, it appears that the torch is always passed down to the next headliners, and metal giants TRIVIUM passed the torch to what we consider to be one of the strongest support bills in the last ten years. Headlining Manchester Academy last night, Trivium stood amongst VENOM PRISON, POWERTRIP, (of whom Matt Heafy has always been spotted wearing their merch), and recent grammy nominees CODE ORANGE, a bill that almost burnt the venue to the ground with a barrage of mass metal, power violence and hardcore hits.
