Lonely the Brave frontman David Jakes has left the band, citing problems with touring and playing live as the reason for his departure. In a statement on the band’s twitter, Jakes claims life on the road has ‘made things really difficult concerning my mental health.’

Fans of the band need not fear however, as the remaining members have said that ‘the four of us will continue with a new vocalist and we plan to begin the search as soon as possible.’

‘We shall return to the live arena when the time is right,’ they add, ‘and will be continuing to work on new material in the meantime.’
