Home furnishing mega-giant IKEA is readying itself to make its move on the music hardware scene. The Swedish company recently teased a look at their FREKVENS (Swedish for ‘frequency’) line, developed in collaboration with Teenage Engineering.
According to a press release, the FREKVENS line will include ‘products such as an electronic choir, vinyl player, party lighting and everything else you need in order to throw a really good music party wherever you are.’ FREKVENS is predicted to become globally available by February 2019.
IKEA certainly make some very good, sturdy products, so we might be looking at the new must-have music accessories. Only time will tell.
From sketch to final prototype, we are checking in on #FREKVENS! Together with Teenage Engineering the aim is to create products so that you can host your party, wherever you may be. During Diseño Democrático this week we are showing the prototypes of the collection. Love it?
