Abandon Ship Apparel and Hard Grind have recently collaborated to bring an amazing new space to Scotland, a new store ‘Daily Grind‘.
The ‘Daily Grind’ Coffee Shop is the latest expansion to Hard Grind HQ located 18A Exchange St, Dundee DD1 3DL. The passion and integrity of the brand shines through their cuts, clothing and specialty coffee. Hard Grind takes pride in its unique approach to business by not looking to replicate what has been done already; instead the alternative brand has found its niche through the seamless synergy of the owner’s passions in life.
“We didn’t hire a marketing team or mastermind a plot to get ourselves out there. It was much simpler than that. We were ourselves. We did what we wanted, how we wanted and we never once deviated from the plan…”
Before the birth of Hard Grind, owner Colin Petrie was apart of Scottish Punk band PMX, was the drummer for Silibil N Brains and toured with D12. After being forced to take a step back from the music industry due to health issues, Colin turned to barbering as a creative outlet. After working in various Salons and learning his craft he put everything into Hard Grind, now an established barbers, clothing brand and coffee shop based in Scotland. To get a bit more of a flavour for what Hard Grind is about as a brand and family check out their blog website here.
Expect nothing less than exceptional service and positive vibes when visiting either of the brand’s two shops, situated in Dundee and Aberdeen. The awkward wait at the barbershop is not on the cards with Hard Grind, expect table football, N64, a jukebox, free Wi-Fi, charging stations and chill vibes during your visit. Going to the barber shouldn’t be a chore, get to know your barbers, sit back and kick it with refreshments from store sponsors Rockstar, Brewdog, Luc Belaire and Sailor Jerry Spiced rum.
