FROM: WOLVERHAMPTON | FOR FANS OF: BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE (EARLY) , ARCANE ROOTS
‘I think the next generation of bands need to be developed and come up now. The juggernauts The Rolling Stones, U2 and even the Foo Fighters, well they’re not going to last forever…”. A strong opening statement from the Wolverhampton metal outfit, but also a validated one.
With the alternative rock scene making its way back up in the charts, the surge of bands within the genre means it can be tough for upcoming bands to make a name for themselves. However, Fear Without Reason are separating themselves from the crowd with tracks that ooze emotion, and an attitude that is both modest and driven. Get ready for an emotional roller-coaster, because Fear Without Reason are preparing to unleash fresh material into the world. ‘We’re just putting the finishing touches to a new single called ‘Broken’ that we’re looking to release in the spring and right now we’re just putting dates in the diary for some shows through the year’.
‘I think the next generation of bands need to be developed and come up now. The juggernauts The Rolling Stones, U2 and even the Foo Fighters, well they’re not going to last forever…”
The band’s latest single was released last year and stirred up a lot of love amongst fans. It is easy to hear why, the alternative rock ballad is titled Monica, and follows a very touching and relatable storyline. ‘I feel that we’ve matured as a band musically and due to Monica being written about real person added more of an emotion that people have really grabbed hold of’.
Fear Without reason really paint a picture with all of their tools, not only are their lyrics colourful and animated, but the musical choices made add an extra sentiment to the words, complimenting them beautifully. Finding music that captures organic emotion is rare at a time when most music is written for and sold to an artist, but creating emotion through their music is something Fear Without Reason do exceptionally.
‘We feel that everyone who comes to our gigs has a connection to our music and relate to the lyrics’.
Another quality that makes the band stand out amongst other emerging bands in the scene is their humble attitude towards their budding career. ‘We try to have a professional approach to it, treat everyone how we want to be treated with a hard-working approach because we can’t expect anything to be handed to us’.
The strong work ethic that has gone into the band’s music really reflects in the recordings. With Monica being a strong foundation for new music, the band are set to have a ‘very cool year’ in the words of guitarist Ste.
