TITLE: THE LONG AWAITED SEAL OF DISAPPROVAL

RATING: 6/10

Technical hardcore band The Colour Line revel in the darkness on their new EP ‘The Long Awaited Seal Of Disapproval’. It’s a record that showcases intricate guitar lines and breakneck screams that would curdle a pool of blood if left unattended, and It also tickles the norm into submitting defeat. There’s tracks like Red which features insincere vocal work and a chorus that will infect the ears to the point of obsessiveness, and Sarcastronaut which entertains with its abrasive and atmospheric beat that develops into a no nonsense statement of intent. We will give the band full marks on their mathcore, but as far as originality for artwork goes, well we better call The Chariot guys…
